Vicki Polin at The Awareness Center says:

Yosef Meystel has been accused of molesting children while being an administer at a yeshiva in Indiana. Below is an article in which he is mentioned, as he is still working in the nursing home field. Over the years there had been several accusations made against Meystel of child molestation, yet do to the fact that the statute of limitations ran out no criminal charges or civil suits have been filed. This is one of those cases that things could change if the windows legislation in Indiana would be made into law.

Due to the issue of statutes of limitations survivors across the United States have not been able to have their day in court. Our hope is that as time goes by each state will either abolished the statutes of limitations, or that windows legislation will be passed granting survivors of various sex offenders the opportunity to have their day in court.

Yesterday I was in Denver, CO providing testimony at a legislative hearing. The hope is of the windows legislation passing in the House of Representatives and Colorado Senate so that those who were abused in will have an opportunity to have their cases heard.

The Awareness Center needs your financial assistance to help us be able to cover our travel to various states over the next few months so that we can help provide testimony to help survivors have their day in court. We also need funds to cover our monthly operating costs. If you are interested in supporting our efforts please send your tax deductible donations to:

The Awareness Center, Inc.

If you are a survivor who was abused in Washington DC or your offender lived/s or works/s in DC and would like to be a part of making legislative changes please contact me immediately.

Sincerely,

Vicki
