Is Rabbi Ben Zion Sobel Another Alumni Of Ner Israel?

Does anyone have more information about Rabbi Ben Zion Sobel?

I've been told that:

Ben Zion Sobel originally started molesting boys in Ner Yisrael many years ago, but it was covered up as long as he left for Israel, where he founded a yeshiva whose goal seemed to be to allow him to molest boys unwatched (it was set up in a remote kibbutz outside of Netanya, with only “troubled” boys enrolled).

I've also been told that he was never at Ner Israel. Someone else told me he started off at Ner Israel and then moved on to RJJ (Rabbi Jacob Joseph School). I need help looking into the facts on this case. If you have information please e-mail it immediately.

Here's another shady rabbi from Ner Israel in Baltimore -- Ben Zion Sobel. He ran a yeshiva Neve Zion in Israel. He quietly and quickly left in 1987 after a scandal between him and some of his male students. I've heard of at least one suicide following this and other yeshiva bochers giving up on Judaism.

There's a link between Sobel and Matis Weinberg that goes back 30 years.

Sobel is charismatic and strong-willed. He's convinced people over the years that he's a big Torah scholar and beyond reproach.

I believe that Sobel is working in book editing. One of the big book publishers hired him.

He's tried to get out of the book business and to get back into teaching boys. He says he's rehabilitated.
