SPEAK OUT YOUR PRESENCE IS NEEDED (Maryland)

  2. Become an Activist -- Demand the Protection of Maryland Children -- Call Judiciary Committee Members
  3. Attend a SNAP Meeting tonight in Maryland (this meeting is open to survivors of all faiths)

1. Your presence is needed in Annapolis this coming Thursday (March 9, 2006). Come to either provide your own testimony and or offer your support.
Park at the Navy Marine Corps Stadium. It is off of Rowe Blvd, between Farragot and Taylor - and all are asked to please use the Taylor Avenue entrance. Annapolis Rowe Blvd. Exit off Route 50 is recommended. Parking is $5.00 for automobiles. There is a free Scuttle to Annapolis. Ask the scuttle driver where to get off for the Lowe House Office Building. It is 84 College Avenue or 12 Bladen St. .Ask for the Judiciary Committee Hearing Room. A photo ID will be required.

Call for Witness.
We are looking for testimony to support HB 1147 & 1148. Please consider testifing for these reasons and more:
  1. If you are a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, including clergy abuse.
  2. If you had a friend or family member who committed Suicide resulting from Child Sex Abuse.
  3. If your family has suffered because of child sex abuse was by someone outside your home.
The Bills are:
1. House Bill 1147 hearing date is Thursday March 9th, 1:00 p.m.
HOUSE BILL 1147 Entitled: Civil Actions - Child Sexual Abuse - Extension of Time to File Action
Synopsis: Extending the time for the filing of specified civil actions relating to child sexual abuse; and providing that the Act may be applied retroactively.
