Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach - Honor his memory by Honoring Those He Sexually Abused!

Eleven years after the passing of Shlomo Carlebach, Jewish newspapers are still honoring a man who might have sexually victimized more Jewish women then anyone else.

Shlomo Carlebach was sent out into the world with his guitar in the Sixties by the last Rebbe of Lubavitch in order to "save souls." No one seems to care to talk about the souls he lost after his sex addiction lead him to sexually violate young women.

The Jewish news media is rewriting history -- not one article mentions the fact that this man had his smicha (ordination) revoked. Wouldn't you think this would be head line news? If Carlebach was a doctor or a therapist, and continued to practice he would have ended up in prison. Where is the outrage?

Knowing these details, one must ask, why are we still honoring him? Shouldn't we be demanding all funds raised in the name of Shlomo Carlebach be put into a trust fund for his victims to help them pay for therapy, and other expenses they have incurred while attempting to heal?
