This link is no longer available on The Awareness Center's site, but I found the cache of it.

I know many people have no idea who Mordechai Tendler is or who is family is. It makes me sick that he has attempted to use these influences to intimidate those who allegedly abused.

Why was this filed in New York county? It makes no sense, since neither the synagogue, the victim nor the alleged "incidents" took place in Manhattan.

It looks like this could get thrown out of court on a technicality and the victim will have to re-file suit in Rockland County court.

According to the New York County clerk's office website, their office only handles civil cases for lawsuits up to $25,000. Why is the victim suing for such a small amount?

To clarify some issues:

1) This case was not filed in the New York City Civil Court which has the $25,000 limit. Please re-read the website you've linked.

2) There may be a conflict with having the trial in the Rockland County court due to Tendler's work with CFS, police and the DA's office in various court cases. There also may be other issues lending to a determination that the trial should be held elsewhere. Those considerations include safety considerations due to alleged misconduct and harassment of victims and their supporters by Tendler supporters, a former Tendler lawyer and in at least one case local police authorities.

Further, there also may be an issue of getting an umpartial jury in Rockland due to Tendler's prominance and pre-trial publicity.

>Why was this filed in New York

And filing with a beis din in Israel made sense?

>County court.

Tendler claimed he wanted his day in court, here's his chance.

An impartial judge, an impartial jury. Why delay? He certainly has all his "evidence" and "witnesses" ready to go. Or at least that was his claim in Jerusalem in demanding a beis din.

Tendler and his hired lawyers certainly have the ability to delay and argue technicality after technicality. All the will just delay the inevitable. This will end up in court.

But remember, Tendler can direct his lawyers to move everything quickly to court. He directs his lawyers, not the other way around.

Manhattan is certainly closer than Jerusalem?

The key next move will be Tendler's statement of defense.

It's been clear to many of us that Tendler is not being honest with his lawyers. Remember Danny boy? He claimed not to know anything about the 6-figure settlement and confidentiality agreement.

Without full information, ultimately Tendler's ability to fight this lawsuit will be impaired. Then again lies only work when they go untested and unchallenged as they do in Tendler's KNH cult.

So the key things to look for in his statement of defense:

Will he deny having sexual relations with congregants and women he counselled?

Dammed if he doesn't, dammed if he does.

Then again he's dammed himself by his own behavior.

Will Mordy Tendler ever have power of corruption again? If he is not put in jail as a sex offender. If he is not made to register where vere he moves. What about his wife Michelle? She has a shaded past. Why is no one going after her? I think what she did is worse than what Mordy Tendler did.
