A Washington County judge has found probable cause for the child sex abuse case against the former head of the World Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, Gordon Young of Sharpsburg.

Young was arrested last month and appeared Thursday at a preliminary hearing in Hagerstown.

Charging documents allege Young twice forced a 15-year-old girl to perform a sex act, touched her inappropriately and asked her to strip so she could join the Klan.

Young faces seven counts, including two counts of second-degree assault and two counts of sex abuse of a minor. He remains held on $350,000 bond.

Young announced in November that he was disbanding the Klan group to become a state organizer of the National Socialist Movement.
